Swoosh!!

Well, my friends, Some dutch courage given to me by a fabulous lesson at ski school has seen me nearly bust my knee. BUT!! All is well, I was able to ski today, tried to focus on technique not speed, and (snow gods smiling upon me) no permanent damage has been done.

but PHWOAH! skiing is great. Must cram in a weekend in Aus too this season. We have better snow, it would seem, than the poor New Zealanders at the momnet. It's a bit patchy up here. THe snow makers are going all night, but it doesn't quite cut it on the terrain I like to ski. Ahh well, you can't have everyhting.

But damn it, I reckon the internationals (Aus, Korea, New Calidonia, UK) out nimber the locals down here.

The down side? I'm too damn exhausted at the end of the day to fully enjoy the 'apres ski'. Some things never change, I am the sleep monster!! :-)
